Hurrah, we’re married!

Many, many thanks to everyone who was able to join us on the Island for an absolutely amazing day. The weather was beautiful, and the entire wedding was absolutely perfect and we’re so grateful to everyone who came and braved late ferries to help make it that way.
It’s been over two months since your last update you say – what have we been doing? Well, what an excellent question!
We got married, obviously. Our photographer, Bryan Aulick has a lovely picture of the Wedding Party at his blog and someday soon I will have some more photos to share.
And then we honeymooned on a fabulous cruise up the inland passage in Alaska. Rudy did an excellent job of keeping this a surprise and it was a marvellous holiday. I’ve posted rather a large number of photos on Facebook, and until I have more time to add some things here, you can enjoy them there.
After we returned mid-September, we have been frantically trying to get moved into our new home, a 1921 Arts & Crafts Bungalow, that will need a bit of work, but overall is stunning. I turned in the keys to my old place todayand Rudy will turn his in within the next day or two and we will begin the task of really settling into the new place — which will possibly need to be named — but is already beginning to feel like home. Sabrina-cat has managed to settle in after a traumatic first evening and the living area, although it does not have all of the library it will have, has been somewhat put into place and there is a cozy place in front of the fireplace and a cozy reading nook, and generally, I am absolutely loving it.
